Running For A Cause

Meet Bob Rebello. Bob is in his 11th year of running worldwide marathons to raise money for kidney cancer research at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, in memory of his brother and best friend John, who lost his battle with kidney cancer on February 27, 1999.

Bob is committed and confident that he will meet his mission to finish marathons on all 7 continents by 2011. He has already completed marathons in North America, South America, Europe, Australia and Asia. Antarctica is scheduled for 2010 and Africa in 2011. Prior to that, he is running in Stockholm, Sweden, May 30, 2009.

What makes this story even more amazing is that Bob is in his early seventies and has a heart of gold! His fundraising efforts over the past 10 years have help raise over $65,000 and hopes to achieve the $75,000 mark within the next 10 months.

Wigwam has been supporting Bob in his efforts by providing the best quality socks that are manufactured in Sheboygan, WI. Over the years Bob has worn several Wigwam diabetic styles of socks and has most recently worn the
Diabetic Sport Crew . These socks utilize Dri-release that dries super fast and contains FreshGuard to keep the foot fresh and germ free.
