Learn From the Past - On to the Future with Wigwam

2009 is almost over. There were a lot of nice things that happened this past year. One of which, I picked up a new hobby in snowshoeing. I have already been able to get out a few times this winter. It has been cold in Minnesota so far. There are about 13 inches of snow on the ground already and I will throw on some snow pants and my Weather Warrior socks and hit the trails at Fort Snelling State Park. I knew that the park was there, but I hadn't been until I had a three day class at the location.

Fort Snelling Park has a lot to offer people who like the outdoors. Along with miles of great trails, there is also a beach. My daughter really liked that spot on those hot summer days. When football started in August, I pulled out my Ironman Tail Wind Pro socks and was coaching a team that ended up going 8-3. It was a wonderful season and a great group of coaches and players to work with. Now that football is over and I'm just teaching, I'm pleased that I can go from my classroom right to an activity and not have to change outfits that much. I can keep on my Wigwam Mountain Air and switch out for some waterproof lined pants and hit the trails quick before the sun sets. I know my toes will stay warm and dry on field trips to the nature center this winter as well. 2010 will be a busy year for my family. I have a trip planned around my birthday and will be hiking around San Fransisco to see what that city has to offer. My wife and I are expecting a son in March. Here I thought it was crazy with one child and here comes #2. I wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season. If you have the time, go find some trails.
